Jericho Makes TV Guide Top Cult Shows

According to a recent TVGuide.com article, “Spurred on by the successful campaign to get Jericho plucked from the postapocalyptic ashes and returned to CBS’ 2007-08 slate, TV Guide revisited that years-old countdown, asking ourselves such tough questions as: Is Lost too “big” to be considered cult? Did the big-screen Serenity help or hinder Firefly’s under-the-radar cachet? And, of course, just how high does one Miss Veronica Mars get placed on the list at this nascent stage in her candidacy?”

According to the article they have placed Jericho at #11 out of 30 total shows. If you want to check out the rest of the list feel free to go check it out over at TVGuide.com. In my personal opinion I can agree to disagree with there placement of the #11 slot. Some of the shows they have ahead of it are rightfully placed such as Star Trek, Lost, and the X-Files, but I believe that Jericho should have at least broke the top ten with the extreme fan fare response to the cancellation earlier this spring.

Should we start sending Nuts to TVGuide? Should we demand a recount? Probably not for now lets continue to bask in the fact that we got Jericho back on the air.

Jericho is Back, Now What?

Now that Jericho has been officially saved, now what do we do? Well first are for most you have to support the show and where it all begins is watching the syndicated shows that will be airing this summer. You have to show CBS that you want the show back and that they are making a great investment in airing seven more episodes next season. That is first and foremost the most important.

Secondly continue to thank CBS for listening to the fans of the show and for believing once again in the original concept of the show. If we don’t show gratitude for that, then the countless phone calls, e-mails, and purchasing of nuts would have been all for nothing.

Finally support the show in anyway you can whether it be to get new viewers (in other words tell your friends), buy episodes online, buy the Season 1 DVD, and in general just support the show. The more we continue to work together the higher the likelihood of a third season.

Nuts…

Jericho’s Saved, Now Summer Re-Runs

As many of you know, Jericho has been saved, and thus CBS in trying to get the show back on the map hopes to get some new viewers this summer as it plans to re-air many episodes from the first season.

According to TV.com “On July 13th, fans will get a double-dip of the show, with “Return to Jericho”–a recap of the drama’s first 11 episodes–airing at 8 p.m., and episode number 12, “The Day Before,” following at 9 p.m. The episodes will then air consecutively every Friday night throughout the summer. CBS did not mention plans to re-air episodes two through 11 in their entirety”.

So you heard that fellow Jericho watchers, get ready, every Friday night we need to sit down and watch the show, to thank CBS for saving it and show them we are not going away.
